KING'S KIDS - FIVE YEAR OLD ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The early years of a child’s life are extremely important to optimum development. This program is designed to develop the child’s total potential, including physical, intellectual, social and spiritual characteristics.

THE PROGRAM

King’s Kids is our five year-old enrichment program which is designed to prepare children for entrance into first grade. The majority of our students attend a licensed Washoe County afternoon kindergarten program in conjunction with King’s Kids. Children who are not enrolled in a licensed kindergarten program are required to pass a first grade screening prior to being accepted into a Washoe County first grade class. We use the A Beka phonics based reading program and in the past the majority of our students have passed the first grade screening with ease. The curriculum also includes Bible materials teaching character and values, writing, mathematics, science, social studies and art. This program offers each child the opportunity to develop intellectually, socially and spiritually as we pursue the subjects listed in our daily schedule. While we are grateful for their academic progress, our greatest desire is that the children will know they are loved and will be encouraged and find enjoyment in this educational setting.

COST

Tuition prices for the 2009-10 school year. Effective September 2009. Price are per month:

8:30-11:45    $335
8:30-12:15    $345*
8:30-12:45    $355*

*These times include the child bringing their lunch and eating at school.

There is a $50 one time non-refundable registration fee per child.

There is a book fee of $65 that includes all the books for the year.
